Yoga in HK

Sitting at Pacific Coffee Company today with the quote of the day posted alongside the menu above the counter: “A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it.” – George Moore. Thought provoking and coincidental. What exactly am I looking for on this quest? A place to practice with philosophies aligned with mine, an¬†inviting space, and knowledgeable teachers that guide you safely.

My main mission in Hong Kong this trip is to check out some of the yoga studios. I’m staying a few weeks in HK before heading to a yoga retreat in Goa, India. Keeping up my craft by learning from a variety of teachers is always eye-opening.

I Heart HK

Hong Kong is in my genes, and no matter where I am in the world, the life and culture infuses my thoughts and my dreams. I’ve come here many times before and it never wears thin. In all honesty, I loathed coming to Hong Kong as a child, but then during a year on student exchange, some friends and I found ourselves on an isolated beach in Sai Kung watching the sun rise. I never knew that such gorgeous tranquility existed within the non-stop bustle of Hong Kong. That was the cherry on top of the mound of whip creamy goodness that is Hong Kong.

Final boarding call for Year 2015…

Happy New Year, Everyone!! With your new or revised resolutions in-hand, I’m sure it includes taking off on a dream vacation. For me it always does and it doesn’t mean a beach at an all-inclusive – that’s just not me. I’m not an extremist either, but I do try to find obscure and exotic destinations off-the-beaten track. I love the serenity that these places can bring to your soul. Some even shock your system a little and get your adventurous juices flowing, giving you a high where it leaves you craving more.
